KERNOW TOURS – BOOKING TERMS & CANCELLATION POLICY
1). Booking & Deposit:-
A booking is confirmed once a deposit has been received. We require a £125 GBP deposited via a PayPal link to a guests/agents email address. once a deposit has been paid, we will remove availability for the online travel platform that we use such as TripAdvisor and Getyourguide. The remaining balance is payable 5-7 days before the tour (or on the day of the tour via prior agreement)
The deposit is non-refundable, as it secures a booking and prevents other reservations for that date.
2). Client Cancellation:-
If the client cancels:
-Cancellations made more than 72hours before the tour may be considered for a partial refund at our discretion.
-Cancellations made within 72 hours of the tour are non-refundable.
-Cancellations within 24 hours or in the case of a no-show: the full tour fee may be charged.
3). Guide Cancellation Guarantee:-
If the guide is unable to deliver the tour due to illness, vehicle breakdown, licensing issues, or other unforeseen circumstances, every effort will be made to arrange a suitable replacement guide or alternative transport so the tour can proceed as planned.
If a replacement cannot be arranged, the client will receive a full refund of any payments made.
4). Delays:-
Tours may be affected by traffic, road closures, public events, or other circumstances beyond the guide’s control. Reasonable adjustments may be made to the itinerary if required.
5). Weather:-
Tours operate in most weather conditions. In cases of severe weather where the tour cannot safely proceed, the tour may be rescheduled or refunded at the guide’s discretion.
6). Force Majeure:-
The guide shall not be held liable for cancellations or significant changes caused by events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather, natural disasters, government restrictions, strikes, or transport disruptions. In such cases, the guide will make reasonable efforts to reschedule the tour or offer a refund where appropriate.
7). Client Responsibility:-
Clients are responsible for arriving at the agreed meeting point at the agreed time. Significant delays may result in a shortened tour or cancellation without refund.
Clients are expected to behave in a respectful manner throughout the tour. The guide reserves the right to terminate the tour without refund in cases of inappropriate or unsafe behaviour.
8). Insurance & Liability
The guide maintains appropriate licensing and insurance where required. However, clients participate in the tour at their own risk, and the guide shall not be held liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage except where required by law.
9). Cruise Ship Conditions:-
Tours are booked based on cruise itinerary. If a ship is delayed, arrives late, or is unable to dock at Falmouth for any reason, the deposit remains non-refundable, as time and travel have already been committed.
Furthermore, if it is determined on the morning of the Tour that the ship will not be docking then 50% of the tour fee is chargeable. In other words there will be a 50% refund back to the payment method in such cases.
If notice is given to us on the day before pick up that the cruise ship will not be docking then we will provide a proportion of the cost of the Tour back at our discretion.
Clients are responsible for adhering to agreed timings during the tour. Any requested changes to the itinerary or schedule that may impact return times are undertaken at the client’s own risk.
The guide will plan the tour to allow sufficient time for return to the cruise ship or agreed drop-off location based on the scheduled departure time.
However, no guarantee can be given regarding arrival times, and the guide shall not be held liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to traffic congestion, road closures, accidents, weather conditions, vehicle breakdown, or delays caused by the client.
Kernow Tours accepts no liability for any loss, cost, or expense incurred as a result of missed departures, including cruise ships, flights, or onward travel arrangements.
10). Agreement:-
By confirming your booking, you agree to these terms and conditions and we thank you for your understanding.
